If a card payment succeeds but the sales report says “Unknown Product,” check the link between the machine selection and the product record. A payment amount alone does not identify the item sold. For a Nayax Core installation, the product map is an important part of that link.
Nayax’s product maps overview describes a map as the configuration connecting physical machine slots to products in Nayax Core. It brings together the product, product group, selection codes and stock fields. Without the map, the terminal can process a payment while the portal lacks the product information needed for useful sales and stock records.
That makes payment acceptance and product-level reporting separate handover checks. If the report contains amounts but no useful item names, ask the operator or payment integrator to confirm which map is assigned to the machine and whether the affected selections have products assigned. A missing map is a documented explanation to investigate, not a diagnosis of every reporting fault.
In Nayax’s terminology, the PA code is the customer-facing selection identifier used in reporting. It can contain letters and numbers. The MDB code is the machine-specific numeric code associated with the physical vending position. Do not replace one with the other simply because both refer to a selection.
Collect the selection layout and the machine manufacturer’s code documentation. Check the map against those records for the actual cabinet. Nayax warns against copying MDB codes from another machine without verification. A convenient template can carry the wrong mapping into a new installation.
The practical question is whether the selected item, the product delivered and the product named in the report all correspond. This article does not confirm the mapping format or Nayax integration of an unidentified WEIMI configuration; have the responsible suppliers confirm the proposed combination.
A named product is only part of a useful inventory record. Nayax’s field definitions guide distinguishes PAR, the slot’s maximum capacity, from On-Hand, the current quantity. It calculates Missing as PAR minus On-Hand.
For an arithmetic example, a slot with capacity 13 and current stock 7 has 6 units missing from full capacity. These are explanatory numbers, not a WEIMI capacity claim or an observed stock count. Enter the real starting quantities through the provider’s supported process. Do not treat a configured capacity as proof that the slot is full.
Before accepting the reporting setup, request an authorised test purchase on the offered machine. Record the machine reference, customer selection, product, price and time. Compare the delivered item with the corresponding sales entry, then check the relevant stock record. Have the integrator explain any missing or inconsistent field before normal operation.
These are proposed acceptance checks. No customer test or successful integration is being claimed here. Preserve the current mapping when investigating an existing problem and use the provider’s supported correction procedure. Changing a live map without understanding the machine codes can create a second problem.
