A used vending machine may arrive with a Nayax card reader already fitted. That does not establish that the reader is ready to operate under the buyer's business. Nayax publishes a customer-to-customer device transfer process specifically for the United States and Canada. Use that regional process to check eligibility and organise the account handover before promising a start date.
This is a review of Nayax's public instructions for buyers and sellers. It does not describe a completed WEIMI transfer, guarantee approval or establish that a particular second-hand reader is eligible.
The cited guide applies only to US and Canadian operators. For another region, ask Nayax Support for the correct procedure rather than applying the North American form automatically.
Nayax also states that AMIT devices are not eligible for ownership transfer between operators. Identify the actual reader before agreeing that it can be transferred. If it is an AMIT device, ask support about the available options. The presence of a reader on a machine is not enough to establish eligibility.
For the standard process, both the transferring party and receiving party need a Nayax Core Operator ID, also called a DCS ID or Customer ID. Nayax lists the clearing contract or billing report as places to find that ID. A new receiving customer who has no Operator ID should use the Register Here route on the transfer form, as directed by the guide.
Prepare the serial number of every reader, the total device count and all business names registered with Nayax for the account. Match the serial numbers to the equipment being bought. The guide also requires outstanding balances or unpaid invoices to be resolved. Keep account information within the provider's authorised process.
Nayax's order is explicit: the transferring party completes and submits its section of the customer-to-customer form first. The receiving party then completes its own section. Both submissions are required before Nayax starts processing.
The official source linked below contains the transfer-form link. Use that source to reach the current form and coordinate with the other party before starting. One party receiving a submission confirmation does not mean the ownership update has finished.
After both completed forms arrive, Nayax describes two review stages. First it checks outstanding balances and pending payments connected with the devices. After financial clearance, its team updates ownership and finalises the devices under the receiving operator's account.
The guide lists a standard processing time of one to two weeks. This is the provider's published estimate, not a guaranteed delivery or activation date. Missing submissions, unpaid amounts and compliance requirements can cause delays. Confirm the current position with Nayax Support before setting an opening date around a used reader.
Nayax says that, once finalised, the device is removed from the transferring party's account and added to the receiving party's account. The new owner can then activate and manage it under its Operator ID. Both parties typically receive confirmation from Nayax.
Keep the provider's completion confirmation and check the reader association under the new account. Plan the provider-approved activation and payment checks before public trading. Receiving the cabinet, receiving a form acknowledgement and completing the provider transfer are separate milestones.
A reader transfer is one part of the purchase. Our used smart vending machine account handover guide covers the wider distinction between equipment ownership, management software, payment services and connectivity. Review each service with its responsible provider.
