A request for a token machine needs one early clarification: must the equipment issue tokens, or accept them in exchange for a product? A token dispenser and a token-operated vending machine sit at different points in that process. Buying one does not establish that the other end will work.
Start by describing the intended journey. Who receives a token, how is it issued, and which machine will accept it? For a reward programme, also state who is authorised to issue tokens. For a sale, explain how payment is collected.
American Changer's official AC250 Front Load Token Dispenser listing, reviewed on 8 November 2026, identifies a hopper capacity of 4,000 tokens. It also lists one non-resettable meter, a keypad lockout system and a resettable meter display on the keypad.
The published dimensions are 8½ inches wide, 18¾ inches high and 13 inches deep, with a stated weight of 45 pounds. These are specifications for that manufacturer's model. They are not a general token-machine standard or WEIMI product specifications.
The reviewed listing does not identify automatic cash or card acceptance. A buyer should therefore ask how dispensing is initiated and how payment, if required, is handled. A keypad and a token hopper alone do not establish a self-service payment workflow.
Ask the dispenser supplier which physical token specification it supports. Separately, ask the vending-machine supplier which token the proposed acceptor recognises. Have both confirm the same token sample or agreed specification before treating the equipment as a compatible pair.
The demonstration should follow the intended journey: issue the token through the proposed arrangement, then use it in the destination machine and collect the intended product. Record the equipment configurations used. This is a suggested acceptance check, not a test performed for this article.
For a school reward application, our school book vending guide describes documented programmes where students exchange tokens for books. That programme evidence does not establish compatibility with the AC250 or with any WEIMI configuration.
A 4,000-token capacity describes a published stock capacity, not the number of customers served or the interval between refills. Those depend on how many tokens are issued per transaction and the site's actual usage. Ask the supplier to confirm capacity for the selected tokens.
For each meter or display, request a plain explanation of what it counts, who can reset it and how staff use it during stock reconciliation. The brief feature list does not define those details. Do not convert a payout count into a revenue figure without a confirmed operating and payment arrangement.
Include the token sample, issuing method, intended quantity per issue, destination machines and staff responsibilities. Ask what happens when payout stock is insufficient or a token is rejected downstream, and who handles the customer's request for help.
If your requirement is exchanging banknotes rather than issuing tokens, see our bill changer comparison. For a WEIMI enquiry, state the product and token-acceptance workflow and request confirmation of the available configuration. The American Changer example does not establish a WEIMI token dispenser or integration. Get My Custom Quote with both sides of the transaction described.
