A prototype observation is evidence about a particular configuration under particular conditions. It is not automatically evidence that a custom vending machine is ready for production. A useful review log connects what was observed to the decision it supports.
Identify the prototype, relevant hardware configuration, software version and test goods. Note temporary parts or manual interventions. If a technician adjusted the arrangement between trials, record the change rather than presenting all trials as one unchanged setup.
An observation describes what happened. An issue explains a difference from an agreed requirement. A decision states whether the evidence is sufficient to move forward, whether more work is needed or whether the requirement should change. Keeping these separate prevents enthusiasm about a demonstration from closing an unresolved issue.
A successful cycle should have its conditions attached. An unsuccessful cycle needs enough detail for investigation. Agree the necessary test scope with the supplier instead of inventing a universal number of cycles.
Assign every open issue an owner and a next action. When a limitation is accepted, include it in the approved operating scope and handover information. Before production release, confirm that the proposed production configuration actually matches the configuration the decision covered.
