Before asking how many volleyballs a vending cabinet holds, decide which volleyball the customer expects to receive. A beach venue and an indoor court may need different stock, even when the balls have similar colours and weight.
MIKASA’s official ball maintenance and specification page separates indoor volleyball from beach volleyball. Its published figures provide a useful example of why a generic “volleyball” stock description is incomplete.
| MIKASA table category | Circumference | Weight | Recommended inner pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indoor volleyball, size 5 | 650–670 mm | 260–280 g | 0.3–0.325 kgf/cm² |
| Beach volleyball, official size | 660–680 mm | 260–280 g | 0.175–0.225 kgf/cm² |
These are the manufacturer’s published categories, not a specification for every ball you might buy. The circumference ranges overlap and the weight range is the same, while the recommended pressure ranges differ. Weight or appearance alone therefore cannot identify the correct stock. Confirm the exact manufacturer, model, intended use and instructions for your chosen ball.
The WEIMI beach volleyball sales cabinet illustrates a ball in each numbered compartment, but does not specify the ball model, usable opening or approved inflation. A photograph does not prove compatibility with a replacement ball.
Send the machine supplier a sample in the condition in which it will be sold or issued. If players should receive a ready-to-use ball, test that inflated ball, including any retail bag or label. Check loading, door closing, customer removal and hand clearance. Do not reduce pressure just to make a ball pass through an unsuitable opening.
If you intend to sell deflated retail stock instead, make that condition clear before purchase and test that complete package. It is a different offer from handing a player a ball ready for an immediate game.
MIKASA says the recommended internal pressure is printed around the ball valve. It also instructs users to moisten the inflation needle with glycerin before insertion, warning that a dry needle can damage the valve and cause leakage. Follow the selected ball manufacturer’s instructions and retain the model-specific pressure reference with the service record.
A ball visible behind a transparent door has not necessarily been checked for pressure. Neither the illustrated WEIMI sales cabinet nor the existing rental buying brief establishes automatic inflation or pressure measurement. Assign that check to the operating process unless the quoted equipment proves otherwise.
Use a product description that states beach or indoor use, the actual model, the quantity supplied and whether the ball is inflated. Keep the screen image and the loaded item consistent. If a substitute becomes necessary, review its instructions and repeat the locker fit check before changing the offer.
For rentals, the 28-ball locker collection and return guide explains the transaction flow. The venue still needs to decide when a returned ball is ready for another player. MIKASA’s stitched-ball care guidance calls for removing dirt or sand from the stitching, drying out of direct sunlight and avoiding hot or humid storage. Apply the instructions for the actual ball rather than assuming a closed compartment provides suitable storage conditions.
Send WEIMI the chosen ball model, sample, intended inflation condition and whether the transaction is a retail sale or a rental. Request a demonstration with that stock and the proposed locker. Get My Custom Quote.
