Vending Fridge Site Survey: Follow the Cabinet from Delivery to Daily Service

An installation checklist organized around the route, the operating position and staff access.

Begin a vending fridge site survey at the delivery entrance, not at the proposed retail position. A cabinet that fits the final footprint may still be unsuitable for the route through doors, lifts or tight turns. Obtain the supplier's handling requirements and the delivered dimensions before making an installation commitment.

Walk the delivery route

Record the narrowest clear openings, changes of level, lift restrictions and turning constraints. Distinguish the packaged delivery dimensions from the installed dimensions. Identify who will provide unloading and movement equipment and who is authorized to perform the work.

Use measured information and photographs to discuss restrictions with the supplier and installer. Do not infer that a cabinet can be tilted, partly dismantled or moved over a threshold without an approved method.

Review the final operating position

Request the model's requirements for ambient conditions, clearances, electrical supply and ventilation. Check the intended location against those requirements. Consider nearby heat sources, sunlight and the effect of open doors on circulation without inventing a universal clearance rule.

Ask the building team to review customer movement, accessible use, emergency routes and any local installation requirements. These are site-specific questions that a product brochure cannot settle on its own.

Plan the work that happens after installation

Replenishment staff need a practical route for stock, cleaning supplies and removed products. Service technicians may need a different access area. Confirm which cabinet surfaces or components must be reached for authorized maintenance and leave the specified space available.

Document network and payment responsibilities with the appropriate providers. Name the site contact for installation day and define the conditions that must be ready before commissioning begins. Send this survey with the procurement brief so a WEIMI proposal can be reviewed against the actual location.
