Soda Machine Dolly: Compare Load Ratings and Ratchet Options

Use exact model numbers when choosing a vending machine hand truck.

A search for a soda machine dolly can return equipment with very different rated capacities. The words appliance truck or vending truck do not establish whether a particular model is suitable for your cabinet. Start with the exact truck model, its manufacturer rating and the machine information your handling contractor needs.

Compare the model, not the category name

The official Wesco vending and appliance truck catalogue lists the WRV-60-EC, part 230035, at 1,200 lb with a manual ratchet. The WRV-60, part 230017, is also listed at 1,200 lb but has an auto-rewind ratchet. A similar name and the same capacity therefore do not mean the restraint arrangement is identical.

The same catalogue lists the HDSV-72 heavy-duty vending truck, part 230074, at 1,800 lb with auto rewind. It also lists the AAP-61 aluminium appliance and vending truck, part 272410, at 550 lb with auto rewind. Auto rewind is not itself a load rating: these examples have different listed capacities despite sharing that description.

A capacity number is only the first check

Obtain the weight and dimensions of the exact soda machine configuration being moved. Give the contractor the machine manufacturer's handling instructions, including any orientation restrictions. Do not estimate weight from a photograph or assume a rating on an online category page approves the complete move.

Ask the handling-equipment supplier to confirm the chosen model and applicable operating instructions. The contractor still needs to assess how the cabinet is supported, where the restraint can be placed and whether the proposed equipment suits the actual route. A higher listed capacity does not, by itself, settle those questions.

Specify the ratchet option in the order

For the two 1,200 lb WRV-60 examples, record both the part number and whether the offer is manual or auto rewind. Ask for the correct restraint instructions and included equipment for that exact part. Do not interpret auto rewind as powered lifting or evidence of stair-climbing capability; the catalogue table labels a ratchet option.

Before buying or renting, have the supplier identify the complete truck being offered and any accessories required by its instructions. If a seller uses a generic product photograph, ask for the written model and part number rather than choosing by appearance.

Separate the dolly choice from the delivery scope

Confirm who supplies the handling equipment and who is responsible for unloading and final placement. Our building access guide addresses the separate route survey: a selected truck still has to work within that plan.

The Wesco products above are third-party manufacturer examples. They do not establish a WEIMI accessory offering or approval for any particular WEIMI cabinet. For a WEIMI machine enquiry, share the installation location and ask for the exact quoted machine's dimensions, weight and handling requirements so your contractor can review equipment selection: Get My Custom Quote.
