When comparing a bowling accessory vending machine, ask for both the selection map and the product list. The number of customer selections does not necessarily tell you how many different products the cabinet offers. Repeated positions can give one product more stock while keeping the advertised selection count unchanged.
The Ebonite Pro Shop Bowling Accessory Vending Machine Program brochure, hosted by Vending.com, lists 25 selections and a capacity of 406 items on its specification page. The adjacent planogram is useful because it shows the individual positions behind those totals.
This is a historical brochure in a 2021/11 upload directory. It provides a documented configuration example, not evidence of current machine availability, payment support or pricing. It also does not establish an equivalent WEIMI configuration.
The planogram assigns two positions to product 514V, identified as men's bowling socks, and two to 511V, women's bowling socks. Each position is marked 10 clams. The accessory list then totals 20 for each product code. Four positions therefore represent two listed product codes.
The same pattern appears with 012V white tape: two positions of 24 bags become 48 in the accessory list. Product 316 Ultra-Slide also appears twice at 24 bags per position, with a listed total of 48. These repetitions explain why 25 selections should not be read as 25 unique products.
For a proposed assortment, request a row for each selection position showing its product code, customer-facing name and loaded quantity. Then group the rows by product code. That second view reveals how much of the cabinet is allocated to each product and which apparent choices repeat the same item.
The brochure uses different units: clams, bags and bottles. For example, the cleaner position is marked 12 bottles, while tape positions are marked in bags. These are packaged stock units; a bag of tape should not be counted as individual pieces of tape when comparing cabinet capacity.
Keep the source's packaging labels with each count. The word clams alone does not provide package dimensions or prove that a replacement pack will fit. Ask for the intended retail pack and its dimensions, then have the proposed supplier demonstrate that pack in the assigned position. Treat a change of pack size or shape as something to check before accepting an unchanged capacity figure.
A buyer who wants more product variety and a buyer who wants deeper stock of a small assortment have different requirements. Mark each repeated product code deliberately in the proposed planogram. Confirm whether the customer sees separate labelled selections for those positions and how the stock list identifies them.
