Perfume Vending Sample Add-Ons: Review the Cross-Selling Workflow

A suggested sample needs a clear product identity, price and confirmed delivery path.

A perfume vending machine can suggest a small sample alongside a bottled fragrance. For a buyer, the useful question is how that suggestion becomes a clear, paid and correctly delivered order. A recommendation on a screen is only one part of that process.

What the WEIMI listing actually describes

The official WEIMI perfume vending product page describes interactive sample cross-selling: mini samples of alternative scents can be suggested on a product detail page. It also describes curated fragrance collections, product information management and inventory tracking by SKU.

These statements support discussing a sample add-on configuration. They do not demonstrate a particular basket layout, combined payment flow or response to a partially delivered order. Ask to see those steps on the proposed hardware and software before approving the purchase. The listing’s marketing language is not measured evidence of higher average order value.

Make the suggested sample identifiable

Agree which main product leads to which suggested sample. Keep the fragrance name, sample size, packaging image and stock identity together. If the suggested sample is a different scent, say so clearly; the shopper should not have to infer that from a small photograph.

Also distinguish a recommendation from a fixed bundle. A fixed pack contains the advertised items within one retail package. An optional add-on is another purchase choice. Those approaches can require different stock records and delivery arrangements. Approve the approach the machine actually uses rather than treating the two as interchangeable.

Show the price before the customer commits

The demonstration should show whether the sample has a separate price, how the customer adds or declines it and how the final selection is presented before payment. Ask what happens if the customer removes the main bottle after selecting a sample. Do not assume that one payment automatically covers multiple items or that every payment integration supports the same order structure.

Keep the offer wording consistent with the commercial arrangement. A paid sample should not be described as a free tester. Any discount or bundle price needs its own agreed setup; a product recommendation alone does not establish that pricing rule.

Connect the recommendation to available stock

The product page lists SKU-level inventory monitoring, but it does not explain whether an unavailable sample is automatically hidden from recommendations. Request a demonstration with the suggested sample available, unavailable and newly replenished. Record what the shopper sees in each state.

Ask how staff change a recommendation when a sample size, scent or outer pack changes. The displayed suggestion, inventory record and physical lane must continue to identify the same sale item. Confirm how those changes reach each machine in a multi-location deployment.

Review delivery exceptions separately

If the chosen configuration delivers the bottle and sample separately, ask the supplier to demonstrate the result when one item is delivered and the other is not. Staff need enough order information to identify what was purchased and what happened. Refunds, replacement items and support responsibilities must follow the agreed payment and operating process; automatic partial refunds are not established by the public listing.

Physical suitability also needs review. A small vial that appears correctly in software still needs suitable retail packaging and a verified handling path. Use the sample vial and bundle retention guide for that separate packaging discussion.

Approve the workflow before judging its results

Keep the approved product mapping, prices, customer screens, stock behavior and exception procedure with the equipment specification. Once operating, assess the add-on offer using actual completed orders and service records. A larger order total on a demonstration screen does not prove greater profit or customer demand.
