AI Vending Fridge Packaging Validation: Build a Sample Approval Record
A product name is not a sufficient sample description for an AI vending fridge. “Sparkling water” could refer to several bottle sizes, reflective labels and almost identical flavors. The approval record needs to identify the exact packaged item being evaluated.
Assemble a sample identity sheet
Record the brand, variant, package size and a stable item identifier used by the operator. Photograph the package from the views requested by the supplier. Note transparent areas, reflective material, flexible surfaces and any outer sleeve that customers may remove. Supply physical samples when the proposed validation method requires them.
The point is traceability. If the demonstration succeeds, the operator should know which package was tested and which cabinet configuration was used. A photograph of an unspecified product cannot provide that link later.
Test similarity as a group
Present related variants together. Ask how the offered system distinguishes them in its approved shelf arrangement, and what happens when an item is placed in an unexpected position. Include ordinary customer actions permitted by the supplier's test procedure, such as examining a package and returning it before completing the selection.
Do not turn a successful single-item trial into a claim about every SKU. Obtain the acceptance criteria and exception process appropriate to the proposed system. Keep observed results separate from supplier explanations of features not yet demonstrated.
Give package changes an owner
Marketing teams may update colors, labels or promotional sleeves without changing a product's familiar name. Purchasing may substitute a different pack size during a shortage. Define who alerts the vending operator and who requests renewed validation before changed stock enters the cabinet.
