Model and package records
The catalog links a customer-facing speaker model to an exact variant, price, package contents and approved carton revision. It should also record the permitted stocked positions or route restrictions needed by the operator. This creates a common identity for the offer shown on the screen and the physical unit supplied.
Assign responsibility for editing specifications, photos and prices. Release a changed carton or accessory bundle only after confirming compatibility. Similar speaker names or colors should not allow one product to inherit another model’s unsupported claims or handling approval.
▯LAYER 02 / EXPERIENCE
Selection and availability interface
The selection layer turns the approved product record into a clear shopping sequence. It needs readable product information, a current availability state and an unambiguous confirmation step. The central portrait display provides a visible location for that interaction in the reference design.
Confirm input method, language options, timeout behavior and any accessibility settings in the proposed software. A screen mockup cannot establish those functions. Review the same interface version that will be installed, including unavailable-product and assistance screens.
▰LAYER 03 / TRANSACTION
Order and payment coordination
This layer connects the selected item with a payment attempt and the permitted fulfillment action. It should preserve a useful transaction reference and respond to accepted, declined, cancelled and uncertain provider results. The exact sequence depends on the selected integration and commercial setup.
Demonstrate duplicate-input prevention, interrupted communication and recovery after a restart. Agree when an order may be retried and what evidence is required. A coherent transaction model helps avoid an unintended additional charge or an unsupported second delivery.
→LAYER 04 / FULFILLMENT
Bay mapping and physical delivery
The fulfillment layer associates the order with the correct cabinet, stocked position and approved transfer route. It then uses the configured mechanism and available feedback to establish the next customer instruction. Clear bay mapping matters because both sides of the reference machine have similar shelves and pickup areas.
Confirm the addressing scheme, lane isolation and controller behavior if one bay becomes unavailable. Test the actual package movement, not just a screen command. The pictures do not identify a motor type, elevator, conveyor, drop detector or any other internal mechanism.
▦LAYER 05 / STOCK
Inventory and outcome reconciliation
The inventory record should reflect what the system can actually observe. A command, a product-passage signal, a pickup-door event and an operator count are different forms of evidence. The system should use them consistently when marking a unit available, allocated, delivered or uncertain, where those states are supported.
Review unresolved events before restoring the relevant position to sale. Keep a physical stock-reconciliation process for cases the software cannot settle. If serial numbers are tracked, confirm how that optional record is captured and linked to the correct sellable unit.
◎LAYER 06 / OPERATIONS
Operator access and service ownership
The operating layer includes replenishment, stock correction, transaction review and authorized maintenance. Decide which tasks are local and which can be performed through an included management platform. Assign responsibilities to the site operator, payment provider, cabinet service team and merchandise supplier.
Remote alerts, dashboards, APIs and automatic reporting are scope items to confirm. Ask for a working demonstration, account permissions and service terms. A connected-looking screen does not establish cloud management, included connectivity or indefinite software support.
