WEIMI INSIGHTS / CHILLED PRODUCT TESTING
Test the complete chilled retail pack so the customer receives a sealed cup with the accessories the product description promises.
SEAL
Inspect the foil or closure after delivery.
ACCESSORY
Check attached spoons and outer sleeves.
CONDITION
Follow the exact product’s storage rules.
Test filled, sealed production cups with all sleeves and accessories attached, then inspect the package and contents after the complete dispensing journey.
01 / BUYER NOTES
Measure the cup at its widest points, including the lid rim, sleeve and any attached spoon. A tapered container may sit differently from a straight-sided one even when the nominal volume is similar. Provide the supplier with real samples rather than relying only on a product catalogue.
If several flavours share a pack shape, still check any differences in toppings or attachments. A twin-compartment lid or clip-on accessory can change the handling requirements. Keep the tested packaging version in the product record.
02 / BUYER NOTES
Use filled retail cups for the agreed dispensing tests and examine each one afterwards. Look for damage to the foil, loosened lids, leakage and distortion around the rim. A cup arriving at the collection point is only one part of a successful test.
Review the path with the supplier if the product tilts or contacts another surface. Ask which packaging and layout changes are supported. Do not assume an upright display position guarantees the cup remains upright throughout delivery.
03 / BUYER NOTES
State whether a spoon is included and where it is supplied. If the pack contains an attached spoon, test that it stays secure and does not catch. If utensils are provided separately at the site, coordinate availability with the venue rather than treating them as someone else’s problem.
Keep flavour, quantity and ingredient information accurate on screen and on the retail pack. For mixed ranges, verify the selection mapping after refill. Similar-looking cups can lead to a wrong-variant delivery if product records or loading positions are confused.
04 / BUYER NOTES
Follow the product’s specified storage conditions and the operator’s food-safety plan from receipt through transport, loading and sale. The machine’s cabinet setting is not a complete cold-chain process. Confirm how required conditions are monitored and how exceptions are handled.
Use the relevant date and batch information for stock rotation and product withdrawal procedures. Inspect packs during refilling and remove unsuitable items under the approved process. Review sales and remaining shelf life together so the range stays manageable without relying on unsupported freshness promises.
Check: Seal integrity and rim condition.
Observe: The pack after the full delivery path.
Check: Attachment security and protruding features.
Observe: Whether anything catches or separates.
Check: Shape, stability and product condition.
Observe: Tilting, compression and the customer’s retrieval step.
PRACTICAL ANSWERS
