Label the dimensions by their purpose
A specification may list the cabinet height, width and depth, while a freight document lists the protective package. A site drawing may add clearances and door movement. Keep these measures named clearly so different teams do not use the same number for different decisions.
Confirm units and the order in which dimensions are written. A transposed width and depth can create a significant planning error. Use a current model-specific drawing or packing information rather than guessing from an image or a general product-family sheet.

Review the cabinet with its actual options
Payment hardware, light boxes or other approved accessories may affect the relevant outer dimensions or access. Ask whether the stated cabinet size includes the options in the quotation. A base-model measurement may not fully describe the delivered configuration.
Keep the configuration revision attached to the dimensions. If the design changes after site approval, review the effect before production or delivery. The fact that the model name is unchanged does not prove that every external detail is identical.

Use packed dimensions for freight and receiving
The shipping unit may include protective packaging and a base or other handling arrangement. Obtain the actual or confirmed planned packed dimensions and weight from the responsible supplier. Do not estimate them by adding an arbitrary margin to cabinet size.
Share the correct information with the logistics party and receiving team. A cabinet that fits inside a lift when unpacked may not fit as the shipping unit arrives. Any unpacking and handling plan should follow appropriate instructions and assigned responsibilities.

Check the entire delivery route
Review doors, corridors, lifts and turns using the relevant measurements and qualified handling advice. A straight doorway width alone does not describe the movement of a large object through a building. Confirm access conditions at the actual destination.
Do not assume the delivery service includes unpacking, indoor movement or installation unless the agreed scope states it. Dimension information supports planning, but it does not assign responsibility for the work. Keep the commercial and physical delivery plans connected.

Add the operating and service envelope
The installed arrangement needs the manufacturer’s required clearances and access for customers and authorised service tasks. Door openings and refill movements can extend beyond the closed cabinet footprint. Show them on the site plan for the actual model.
Avoid reducing those requirements to make the drawing fit. If the site cannot support the complete envelope, review another configuration or location. A machine squeezed into a nominal space may be difficult or unsuitable to operate even though its outer dimensions technically fit.

Keep one approved dimension record
Maintain the current cabinet drawing, packing information and site layout together. Identify which details are final and which remain estimates. This helps the supplier, carrier, installer and venue work from the same project state.
When a dimension changes, notify the parties affected rather than update only the purchase document. A small accessory change may matter to a restricted route or fitted opening. The goal is a coordinated installation based on the delivered equipment, not a collection of disconnected measurements.
