Have the supplier assess the actual package and arrangement. Do not infer compatibility from cabinet size or from a demonstration using small cans. Heavy flexible bags present a different handling problem from compact rigid products.

Observe how the bag deforms during a cycle

Inspect the package after collection for damage relevant to the product. A delivered bag should retain the protective condition required by the food supplier. A completed machine event alone does not prove that the package remains intact.
If an outer support or packaging change is proposed, review its suitability with the relevant product and packaging parties. Include the additional preparation time and cost in the business plan.

Evaluate the customer’s collection task
Check the opening dimensions and the space needed to grip and remove the bag. A product may reach the collection area but still be difficult for customers to handle. Test the intended retrieval method with representative users under a controlled evaluation.
Consider where the customer stands and whether there is a suitable route away from the machine with the purchase. A location intended for small impulse purchases may not be convenient for bulky pet food bags.

Clarify what a requested percentage mix means. A statement such as mostly dry food could refer to units, shelf space, sales value or weight. Use actual product quantities in the layout so the supplier does not have to guess.
Keep maximum physical capacity separate from the refill plan. The operator still needs to manage product dates, package condition and demand by size. More stock of a slow-moving large bag may not improve availability for the products customers actually request.

Plan loading and stock checks for staff
Review how employees move bags from delivery storage into the machine. The venue’s appropriate handling procedures and equipment should cover the actual loads. A vending project should not create an improvised manual-handling task.
Keep each product identifier and bag size matched to the screen listing. Similar brand artwork across different sizes can lead to loading mistakes if staff rely only on colour. Confirm the quantity and product before making the position available for sale.
During the pilot, record loading time, package issues, failed deliveries and customer collection questions. Use those observations to choose the final range and configuration rather than treating one successful demonstration as approval of every bag.
