Identify why the product is hung in normal retail
Some packs use a tab for display, while others rely on a hanging feature as part of their protective packaging. Explain which feature the proposed machine would engage. Do not assume the display tab is designed for the same forces or movements as an automatic release system.
Supply the complete production pack and relevant packaging information. A drawing of the hole position is useful but cannot show how the material behaves when loaded. The review should use the product customers will actually receive.

Check pack weight and balance
The filled item can hang differently from an empty card or sleeve. Observe its orientation, movement and clearance in the proposed layout. An unevenly distributed product may turn or contact neighbouring stock in a way that a flat sample does not.
Record the range of normal product variation relevant to the mechanism. If accessories or promotional additions change the pack balance, review them before loading. Compatibility should be tied to the tested sale unit rather than a broad category such as daily essentials.

Review the tab and release movement together
Ask the supplier to show how the mechanism supports and releases the pack. Inspect the hanging area for tearing, deformation or other unacceptable effects after the trial. The product owner should define what condition remains suitable for sale.
Do not approve a design only because the item hangs correctly while stationary. Release, transfer and collection can introduce different movements. The full path needs to work without leaving the customer with an opened or damaged package.

A hanging assortment can include different widths and lengths. Test the planned spacing and loading quantity with the actual range. More packs on a support may not equal more usable capacity if they overlap, obstruct selection or interfere with movement.
Use the supplier’s documented loading limits and configuration requirements. Avoid adding extra stock beyond the approved arrangement to reduce refill visits. The practical capacity is the amount that can be loaded and delivered reliably under the supported process.

Make product mapping clear to refill staff
The operator needs to know which pack belongs at each position and how it is oriented. A short visual loading record can help, provided it reflects the actual approved configuration. Keep product names and prices aligned with the physical arrangement.
After changing a pack format or position, verify the affected selections and delivery path. A new hanging hole location or longer sleeve may require a review even if the product inside has not changed. Packaging is part of the machine interface in this type of system.
