AI Vending Fridge Payments: Seven Questions Before Merchant Onboarding

Follow authorization, final charging and customer support as separate responsibilities.

Payment needs to be specified for the intended market before a buyer compares AI vending fridge proposals. A terminal demonstration or payment logo does not by itself establish the merchant arrangement, settlement currency or customer support process for a new location.

Ask these questions in writing

1. Which payment arrangement is supported by the proposed cabinet configuration in the intended country?
2. Which organization contracts with and onboards the merchant?
3. What does the customer authorize before access, if anything, and how is that explained?
4. How is the final amount determined and communicated under the proposed workflow?
5. Which party handles an interrupted or disputed transaction?
6. Which one-time, recurring and transaction-related charges belong in the project budget?
7. What commissioning evidence shows that the intended arrangement is ready for customers?

Keep the answers attached to the configuration

An answer about one hardware or software combination may not apply to another. Record the cabinet, payment components and relevant services together. Ask providers to identify dependencies and exclusions rather than describing compatibility as an unrestricted feature.

Customer communication deserves its own review. The proposed journey should make any authorization and final charge understandable. Have the responsible payment provider explain the treatment and timing of exceptions under the applicable terms; do not promise a universal release or refund time.

Test responsibility as well as the successful purchase

During commissioning, use supplier-approved scenarios to check the intended completion and exception paths. Identify what the operator can observe and what requires provider support. Confirm the information staff should collect without exposing customer payment credentials.

Use these answers in the main smart fridge buying brief. WEIMI and the relevant providers should confirm their respective scope for the proposed market before the buyer treats payment readiness as complete.
