The Malaysia deployment combined touchscreen merchandising with product-specific delivery paths. Card packs needed channels that reduced gaps and jams; boxed model cars needed a pickup route that avoided a damaging fall.
A crushed corner on a model-car box or a bent trading-card pack can turn a completed vend into a dissatisfied customer. Collectible retail therefore requires more attention to channel gaps, product support, drop height and pickup geometry than a standard snack assortment.
The operator also needs clear product records. Series, edition, price and availability should be easy to understand on the screen, especially when the physical pack is small or displayed behind glass.
Thin card packs can slip, overlap or catch when the channel is not matched to their dimensions. The Malaysia project used a gap-conscious channel arrangement intended to hold the product more consistently.
Final performance depends on the real pack thickness, wrapper material and loading method. Samples should be tested across a full channel, not only in a single demonstration vend. Staff also need a loading guide so that packs remain aligned after replenishment.
Boxed model cars need a different approach. A central or raised pickup design can reduce drop distance and give the customer a clear collection point. The delivery path should be tested with the heaviest and most fragile boxes in the planned range.
“Gentle” is a performance goal, not a universal claim. Package samples, machine settings and site level all influence the result.
A vend-recording camera can provide evidence of the dispensing process. When a customer reports a missing or damaged item, the operator can review the transaction trail instead of relying on assumptions.
Camera use, access and retention must follow the operator’s approved policy and local privacy requirements. The purpose is service audit, not indiscriminate surveillance.
Launch calendars, rarity themes and campaign artwork can make the kiosk feel current. Yet the basic product information—exact series, pack format, price and sales terms—must remain prominent.
A machine near entertainment, cinema or hobby retail can benefit from relevant traffic. Exterior graphics should be refreshed as the collection changes so returning customers recognize that the assortment is new.
Limited launches may create short bursts of demand. Operators should set quantity rules, refill plans and customer-service procedures before the campaign begins.
Potentially, using different approved channels or cabinets. Final layout depends on package dimensions and delivery testing.
The project camera is intended to record the dispensing process. Privacy, access and retention must be configured for the market and operator policy.
Use actual samples across repeated vends, including the heaviest and largest planned packages.
Send card-pack and model-box dimensions, weights, materials, photos and samples, plus the release calendar and target location. WEIMI can test channel and pickup options before the production layout is fixed.
